Eigenaar is Sciensano[2]. Nominatieve gegevens blijven slechts beperkt in de tijd op het Be-HERA-platform en zijn enkel toegankelijk voor een specifiek team van healthdata.be[4]. EPILABO (productie). Het netwerk van sentinellabo's bestaat sinds 1983 en steunt op vrijwillige wekelijkse aanlevering van diagnostische gegevens voor meer dan 40 pathogenen[4]. Voor de nieuwe EPILABO-gegevensverzameling werd op 6 december 2022 een machtiging van het Informatieveiligheidscomité verkregen; de uitrol was gepland in 2023 samen met healthdata.be[7].
