Raadpleging van een gezondheidsgegeven via de uitwisselingssystemen vereist de voorafgaande verificatie van een therapeutische relatie[4], en een door de patiënt geregistreerde uitsluiting blokkeert elke toegang, ook bij een bestaande therapeutische relatie[5]. De metahub slaat zelf geen therapeutische relaties op, maar ontsluit wel relaties uit authentieke bronnen zoals het GMD[4].
